Dear Candidates,

It's a superb news for all.
This will open up the avenues to lakhs of candidates.
The dormant passions of many would be re-ignited.
We encourage all to re-invent their spirits and fight back for a berth at Civils !!
Govt. of India has approved 2 more attempts at UPSC CSE. Age relaxation will also be allowed if needed.
So a general candidate - now has 6 attempts till the age of 32 yrs max !!!!!
For a OBC candidate - 9 attempts upto the age of 35 yrs.
However, explicit clarifications are required regarding the maximum age limit
Interestingly, we had an interactive session at IIT Kharagpur in 2009 when many aspirants expressed an apprehension that the maximum age for appearing in the examination may come down to 26 or even 24 !!! Much like the Raj days.
However, we were firmly confident then that such a fiasco would not occur. Our Chief Faculty had replied to such queries with elan and mitigated the fear in the minds of the candidates.
Today, we feel more than vindicated
